Great Wedding Gifts to Thank Bridesmaids For Helping You Plan Your Wedding

By Janet R.

Shopping gifts for bridesmaids can be a bit challenging for many brides. Traditionally, small trinkets of jewelry like pearl earrings, necklaces or brooches are given as bridesmaids gifts. However these days, brides like you have lots of options to choose from when it comes to bridesmaids gifts.

Jewelry can cost too much, which is why some brides prefer other alternatives to offer to their bridesmaids. One great idea is presenting gift certificates that will send the girls to spa or salon. Bridesmaids truly deserve such pampering gifts as they are likely exhausted after spending months of helping plan the wedding. You may also join her bridesmaids, making it a great bonding moment for all of them before the big day arrives. The girls can enjoy a relaxing and pampering time, which involves a body massage, foot spa, manicure, pedicure, hair cut, and facial. This idea is one thing that bridesmaids will never forget in your wedding.

Bridesmaids gifts can also be something that will serve a long lasting keepsake, like photo albums and picture frames. These are also budget-friendly gift ideas, especially if you are on tight. The great thing about photo albums and picture frames are they carry lots of memories because of the photographs secured in each space of the album or in the frame. Ideally, you can present a photo album or picture frame with your best shots together with the bridesmaids. This makes a great souvenir that sure to be cherished by each bridesmaid for years to come.

Alternatively, you can make some personalized CDs as gifts for bridesmaids. You can think of buring their favorite songs into the CD and make it more personalized by printing CD covers with their pictures, names, and a personal message of thanks for them. A personalized CD is also a practical gift option that doesn't cost a fortune.

Your wedding theme can help you decide what gifts that you can offer to your bridesmaids. There's no need to break your bank, because it's not mandatory to buy lavish or extravagant items for your attendants. You have to remember that the thoughtfulness of a present is not measured by its cost, but how it was thought out. However, do not compromise the quality of your present just because your budget is limited. Hunt way in advance so you can have a greater possibility to find great deals of items that are cheaper, yet in good quality.

You may try to look online if you don't have time to search at local malls or gift stores. Online shopping has been a friend of many engaged couples who are planning their own wedding. Wedding supplies, bridal jewelry and other accessories, bridal party gifts, and bridesmaids gifts are available in many different choices online. You will find out how convenient and rich the Internet when it comes to essential items that you will need to make your wedding successful. Where can I find the “Thank you” tags to go on our favors?
I am looking for a site where I can personalize the “Thank you” tags that we’re going to attach to the favors. Can anyone help?
Event Wedding Planning – I wish I had seen this sooner. I ordered it from another site. WAAAAAAAAAH! :(

Looking for a fun thank you wording for wedding favour tags.?
We are giving the women a long stem black magic rose to symbolize love and the men a box of kisses. I am trying to come up with a creative way to say thank you on the roses. Any suggestions?

  3. Event Wedding Planning says:

Wedding Favors- homemade mini 2 tier wedding cakes?
Do you think if I make homemade mini 2 tier wedding cakes, similar to our wedding cake flavors, Would this make a nice favor for guests? I’d wrap them in goody bags, ribbon to match with a thank you tag. Like everyone else, I have to watch my money. * Please don’t suggest M&Ms or mini candy or soap, I want to be different. Thank you, Gang.
PS- I should mention using cake mix (betty croker) But will add icing + filling. Short cut

  6. Tropical Sweets says:

Depending on how many you are making, it may be cheaper than the M&Ms route too. Just a suggestion, if you are cheating and using cake mix, substitute real butter for the oil. You could save time by making cupcakes iced in your wedding colors. You can get boxes which would be a little less messy at http://www.papermart.com/index/index_retail_box_plastic.htm.

    Good luck!!!

Does these sound okay, any suggestions will do.

“Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday.”
    Her name
Date of her real birthday? or should I put the date we are having the party.

Her birthday was on July 28th but we are celebrating it on August 10th.

I’m sorry I posted this one here. I usually get a lot of ideas and answers in mommy sections or pregnancy sections.

List of DIY materials for wedding?
YA folks, I need some help. I’m DIY’ing as much as I can for our wedding and I’ve gotten a couple 50% off coupons for the craft store and want to make the wisest purchases possible with them.
We aren’t DIY’ing the dress, shoes, DJ, photographer or the reception dinner. We’ll be doing minimal flowers (bouquets & bouts only) but dealing with a florist for those.
Nearly everything else is DIY if I can. . .
Here is what I already have:
    Guest book
    Centerpieces
    Favors
    Tulle to wrap favors
    Veil
DIY Invites, including response cards, envelopes & ribbon and ribbon hole punch to dress them up
Stamp & Ink, good paper cutter & corner punch for ‘dressing up’ save-the dates

    Need:
    Paper for Save-the-date
    Ribbon for favors
Paper for making “thank you” tags for the favors

Anything you can suggest that I’m missing?
Engagement announcements are done. BM gifts bought.

Just looking for your thoughts/input on what else I might need.
    THANKS!!!
Do I really need to blow alot of money on a fancy pen for the guestbook? Isn’t a normal pen Ok?
For the guestbook, I actually found one at Michael’s crafts that is $19.99 and I used a 50% off coupon.
I couldn’t buy all the supplies and make one for only ten bucks so I bought that.

I’ve been comparing “how much would it cost to make this” versus “how much will it cost to buy it outright or buy it with 50% off coupon” and I go with whichever is less expensive!
    i did forget place cards!!
For the cake – I am so very very lucky. My cousins have offered to buy it as our wedding gift to us.
We were planning on going to a good local bakery, but they would like us to try to use Charm City Cakes (the Duff guy on Food Networks “Ace Of Cakes” show): http://www.charmcitycakes.com/

Something to put the cards in, maybe?

For the pen, you can make one of these for really cheap.

I made one for my cousin’s wedding using fake calla lillies and it was so cute. We also made a card box using round hat boxes all stacked up to look like a wdding cake. Sprayed it white and decorated with ribbon and silk flowers to match. http://www.weddingaccents.com/accessories/lr-mb705-wedding-card-box.htm

If you search “gift tags” on this site, there are a few that can hold several lines of copy and they are discounted.

Wedding Expo: what type of draws/ entries do you like?
I will be participating in a local wedding expo and I need some suggestions on what type of booth prize/draw I should offer [every booth must contribute one]. My business is in wedding stationery and accessories. Stationery consists of: invitations, menus, tags, favors, save the dates, thank yous, seating charts, etc. Accessories is: hair accessories, bouquet pins, barefoot sandals, and bridal survival kits and honeymoon kits.

I would like to know what you, as a bride, would interest you and would excite you to put your name in the draw.

I am very interested in having maybe two smaller draws and than a large one.

In addition to this, I need to stay away from offering a draw for the getting invitations for free, because I am one of the participants for the expo’s grand prize, which includes a complete invitation set.

I am also going to have a coupon hand-out too that I plan on giving out, where if a bride decides to get her invitations through me, then I will offer her free save the dates.

Thanks so much for your input. :)

    Favor Tags?
I am using tags to put on the guests favors that will be on display at the reception. Where can I find favor tags that are big enough to print phrases on? The only tags that I have seen are the ones you put your name on with your wedding date.

Example: “Since we’re a perfect Match, we thought you should have one too! Thanks for sharing our day!” The favors are personalized match books with a tea light candle in a organza bag.

What’s a good idea for party favors for a laser tag party?
I’m having a laser tag party for my sixteenth birthday, and I’m having a really difficult time coming up with a good party favor. Anyone have any suggestions?

Oh, also, I’m a bit pressed for time, because the party is Saturday! So any quick solutions would be great. Thank you!

The website has Love is forever. Help with thoughts on something else that isn’t as generic and more meaningful. 4-5 words max.
